Welcome

The RAF Honington Band is one of nine bands co-ordinated by the RAF Voluntary Bands Association and was formed in 1989, its primary role being to provide music for ceremonial and social occasions at RAF Honington. The Band does, however, perform at many functions and civic parades in the local area; many of the engagements the Band undertakes are in aid of local and national charities. The Band rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings 7.45 - 9.15pm and the musicians are either serving in the RAF (or another of the Armed Services) or are civilians. They all have one overwhelming thing in common - the enthusiasm to join together to make music!
